In short
A quiet promise for bedtime
ToddlerTales generates personalized AI bedtime stories for young children, used under the supervision of a parent or guardian. You receive a personal, non-commercial license to enjoy the stories you create. Creating stories requires Premium — a weekly or monthly auto-renewing subscription billed through the App Store or Google Play that you can cancel anytime. There is no free trial; you are charged at the price shown when you subscribe.
01

Agreement & Eligibility

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and ToddlerTales (“we,” “us,” or “our”), an independent mobile-app developer, governing your access to and use of the ToddlerTales mobile application and related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who can use ToddlerTales

02

Your Account

To access the Service you sign in with Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. We do not operate a separate username/password system — authentication is delegated to these providers. You agree to keep your provider account credentials secure and to use a device-level passcode or biometric lock.

You may add up to three child profiles (name, age, optional gender, and a list of favorite themes or characters) to personalize stories. These profiles belong to you and are managed entirely by you. Please share only the minimum information needed for personalization — first name or a nickname is enough.

Please notify us promptly at toddlertalessupport@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

03

License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Service on devices you own or control, solely for the private, non-commercial enjoyment of you and the children in your household.

You agree not to, and not to permit others to:

Refunds

All refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their store policies. We do not process refunds directly. Credits consumed by a story or audio generation that completes successfully are non-refundable; if a generation fails for technical reasons, please contact support and we will look into restoring the credit.

Heads up. Prices, plans, and trial offers may vary by country and may change for future renewals. We’ll notify you of material changes in advance.

Content, AI & Conduct

How stories are made

Each ToddlerTales story is generated on demand by AI services we work with: story text is produced by Anthropic Claude using the child profile and theme you select, and the audio narration is produced by ElevenLabs from that text. Generated content is reviewed by automated safety filters before it reaches your child, but no filter is perfect — we recommend a quick preview before bedtime.

Your content

If you submit anything to the Service — feedback, profile names, custom story prompts, favorites, story reports (“Your Content”) — you keep ownership, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and use it for the purpose of operating, securing, and improving the Service. We do not use Your Content to train our own or third-party AI models.

Our content

Generated stories, illustrations, audio narrations, and other materials provided through the Service (“Our Content”) are made available to you under the license in Section 3. Underlying models, voices, illustrations, and the look and feel of the Service are owned by ToddlerTales or our licensors.

What you agree not to do

You may report a generated story you find inappropriate from within the app. We may, at our discretion and without liability, remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

06

Intellectual Property

The ToddlerTales name, logo, app icon, character designs, voice presets, and the look and feel of the Service are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license described above, no rights are granted to you.

Feedback or suggestions you send us may be used without restriction or compensation.

07

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that any particular generation will produce specific text, length, or style, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

ToddlerTales is intended as an enjoyable bedtime companion, not as a substitute for parental judgment or for medical, psychological, or educational advice. Please supervise your child’s use of the app and adjust volume, screen time, and content to what is right for your family.

08

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToddlerTales and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in such cases, the limits above apply to the fullest extent permitted.

09

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion soft-deletes your account, child profiles, and generated stories, revokes your active sessions, and (for Sign in with Apple users) revokes our Apple authorization. Your data is then erased or irreversibly anonymized within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription — you must cancel that separately in your device’s subscription settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision becomes commercially unreasonable. On termination, sections that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute provisions) will remain in effect.

Apple & Google Platform Terms

You download ToddlerTales through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The following terms apply in addition to the rest of these Terms. To the extent they conflict with anything above, these platform terms control for the relevant platform.

This agreement is with us, not the store

These Terms are concluded between you and ToddlerTales only, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. The app-store operator is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service or its content.

Scope of license

The license granted in Section 3 is limited to a non-transferable license to use the app on any Apple- or Android-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the applicable App Store Terms of Service or Google Play Terms of Service.

Maintenance and support

ToddlerTales is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the Service. Apple and Google have no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.

Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple and Google give no warranty for the Service. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any) you paid for the app; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.

Product and intellectual-property claims

ToddlerTales, not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the Service or your use of it, including (a) product-liability claims, (b) any claim that the Service fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, (c) claims under consumer-protection or similar law, and (d) claims that the Service infringes a third party’s intellectual-property rights. We will handle such claims to the extent required by these Terms and applicable law.

Legal compliance

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist-supporting,” and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You also agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the Service.

Third-party beneficiary

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. Where you obtained the app through Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

11

Changes & Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll let you know through the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ToddlerTales is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live in a country whose consumer-protection laws give you stronger rights, those rights are not affected. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
